Well I am now 37 weeks and 5 days along. I really can't believe I am almost to the end. It feels like it has been a long and trying pregnancy, but at the same time it feels like just yesterday we found out we were expecting and I really have had an easy pregnancy. I have definitely had my ups and downs but I guess that goes for any pregnant woman. It's fun looking through the pictures and seeing how much my belly has grown.
First trimester - 17 weeks
First trimester was really really hard! I lost 10 pounds from being so sick. I feel like I had every symptom in the book, runny/stuffy nose, bloody noses, insomnia, nausea, no energy, crazy heightened sense of smell.... Luckily I had Andy who took really good care of me and a really understanding boss who didn't fire me! My doctor kept prescribing me medication that were supposed to help with the nausea but nothing helped and I even ended up in the hospital from a crazy allergic reaction to one of the meds. One night my tongue started to twitch. I thought it was strange and told Andy but tried not to think about it, but it kept happening and actually started to get worse to the point where I could not keep my tongue inside my mouth and my neck muscles started to contract too. It was soooo strange and scary. I ended up going to the ER and all they did was pump me with benadryl and it went away luckily, I thought i might be plagued with it forever! I finally discovered that wearing sea bands on my wrists took the nausea away and I was able to gain back some strength.
Second trimester was amazing and flew by. I felt great, all my crazy symptoms went away, I had energy again and I could start feeling the baby move around!

The third trimester has been a little harder. I lasted until my 3rd trimester without any swelling in my hands and feet amazingly, but I am definitely experiencing it now. My wedding ring doesn't fit and most of my shoes are pretty snug. Luckily I live in Florida and I can get by just fine by wearing flip flops every day! Sleeping at night is getting harder and heart burn is an everyday occurrence. Baby is really moving now, pretty much constantly. I have fun imagining what he is going to look like and what his little personality will be.
We finished our birthing classes, all the essential baby items have been bought ( I think ), the nursery is almost put together and the hospital bag has been packed. Now we are just waiting and still trying to decide on a name! So far our top three picks are Brayden, Logan, and Camden. We are still open for suggestions!

Julie - You look great! I'm so excited for you guys. and I love all the names you have picked out! But I'm still pulling for Bilbo!
I can't believe he's almost here! You are on the home stretch! I think I like Camden or Logan best. That's probably because I have had braydons for students. Name association, you know? All three are very cute names though!
So exciting and you look beautiful! I gotta say I am going with the name Brayden or Braden,I'm not sure about the y...I'm sure as soon as you see his little face you'll know, it might even be one you haven't thought of!

Wish we could be there, Julie. That is a great picture of you all surprised.
I just read about a Dutch scientist named Carsten and I thought it was kind of a cool name. Ily said I should suggest it to you, so there you go.
