The next day was Valentines day so we decided to get away for the weekend and found a good priced room to stay in Salt Lake for a couple nights. Friday night we went to a monster truck show, kinda random, but it was fun! Luckily the girl that I sat next to had some extra ear plugs for me to use cause it was loud!
The next day we just kinda hung out, we went to Nordstrom Rack to try and find some cheap stuff but didn't find anything cheap enough. We hit up the church history museum and wanted to tour Brigham Youngs house but didn't have time. We had made a dinner reservation at Bucca Di Beppo, http://www.bucadibeppo.com/. My roommate Jennica had mentioned a while back that she really liked the restaurant, so we decided to try it out and we were so glad we did. Great food, great prices, and yummy dessert! They serve family size portions for dinner but they let us order off the lunch menu for our single size portions. The dessert was family size but we decided to get it anyway and just have left overs! After dinner we went to go see a movie at the megaplex at the Gateway. It was cool because we got out tickets online and got to reserve our seats on line too! It was fun to get away even though it was just in Salt Lake City.
Funny story. So we stayed at the Raddison Hotel and thought that would be a save bet, it is a pretty nice place to stay. As soon as we walked in the doors we were a little scared. Everyone looked a little, well, not from Utah. Everyone had huge beards that went down the their chest, covered in tattoos, and piercing everywhere conceivable. We were like what have we gotten into. Well I thought maybe they are here for some show and it is just a small group of them. Well throughout the whole two days everyone we saw fit into the above description. I don't want to sound like I am judging, but again, I am totally provoized. I am not used to seeing people that are covered head to toe with tattoos and piercing and smoking! haha. So the Raddison Hotel is located right next to the Salt Palace, which I think is an art museum, so I was like well maybe there is some kind of art convention going on because I had noticed a couple of them wearing badges like we got at our convention is Florida, and go into the Salt Palace. So Andy and I were curious and walked into the door we saw a couple go into and we saw a sign that said International tattoo convention! So they were artists, just not your conventional artists, and of all the hotels we chose that weekend we chose the one where all of them were staying. Oh well, it was a super fun/relaxing weekend.

Congrats! And I am sure you wanted to be involved in the tattoo convention. You would make a great tattoo artist.
